TO TAKE THIS SUMMER
Every girl duo dreams of a cool European getaway. I’ve been lucky enough to travel to some amazing countries with my friends, and while I’ve had great experiences in all of them, these six countries I would highly recommend!
If you want a week of warm sun, blue waters and friendly locals, then Greece is the perfect place to go. Start in Athens and explore the history. You can’t miss the view of Athens from the Acropolis!
Then hop on a Blue Star Ferry and sail the islands. I highly recommend Naxos, Santorini & Siphnos! The Cyclades are a gorgeous group of islands, and each one brings something a bit different. Start in Naxos, the largest island with tons of delicious water-front restaurants. Then hop over to Santorini for epic sunsets, black sand beaches, ATV rides and hikes on the volcano! End relaxing on the quiet island Siphnos in the most beautiful cove you’ve ever seen.
If you want to party it up for a week, Mykonos is the island for you.

Pizza, pasta, gelato, wine and coffee. What more could you want? Aside from how beautiful this country is, the food is delicious and reasonably priced. The best part about Italy is that any pasta shop on the street will have delicious pasta for 10-15 euros!
For a fantastic week-long trip, start in Rome and tour all of the iconic historic sites. You absolutely need to try a pasta-making class with Walks of Italy. It’s one of my favorite travel experiences to-date!
Then make your way into Tuscany, visiting beautiful Sienna and its UNESCO World Heritage Site in the city center. Drink wine in the city center and wander the gorgeous medieval streets.
End your week in Florence, a laid-back, charming, art-filled city. You can’t skip a winery tour! Tuscany is full of beautiful vineyards and delicious Chianti wine.

Germany celebrates hundreds of festival every year. They love a good celebration, and I’m with them! Of course Munich’s Oktoberfest is the most popular, but there are beer festivals all year round!
My favorite is actually the Wurstmarkt in Bad Durkheim, a sausage market known for its fantastic local wines. In Germany they celebrate Carnaval, Unity Day, film festivals, and even club festivals. I can’t recommend this country enough!
And of course, if you make it to Munich, your trip won’t be complete without a day trip to Schloss Neuschwanstein & Schloss Hohenschwangau, the iconic Disney castles in Bavaria.

Nothing says ultimate feminine getaway like taking a trip to France. The beautiful architecture, deluxe food and historic art is the perfect combination for a girl group looking to feel pampered.
I have to recommend starting in Paris. This city is one of my all-time favorite travel spots. It’s easy to navigate and I love the architecture style with the soft creams and white buildings. Grabbing a cappuccino in a Parisian cafe is so simple, yet one of my best memories in Europe. Of course you’ll want to see the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, and snap a selfie with Mona Lisa!
If you have the time, head into the South of France next. I’ve never been, but it’s definitely on my bucket list. The Blonde Abroad has some amazing travel blogs from her time solo traveling there!

What do you get when you combine waffles, chocolates and beer? The best week ever! Belgium is a small country so sit back, relax, and enjoy the food! Brussels is known for its frites, and you have to try them with all different sauces.
Then head north to Brugge, a medieval city nicknamed the “Venice of the North” because of its many canal ways. Enjoy a ride on the canal, take photos in front of the gingerbread-style houses in the Markt. There are cute flea markets here and tons of fun museums (including the Beer Experience which is epic).
It’s also the Netherland’s next-door neighbor, so if you’re looking to expand your travels you can pop over to Amsterdam!

Welcome to one of my all-time favorite places in Europe: Luxembourg. This little country is nestled between France and Germany and it was one of the highlights of my semester! I wasn’t even planning to come here, but it ended up being one of my favorite weekends abroad.
The colors in this city are just beautiful: peaches and cream! Wander the old streets, watch the changing of the guard ceremony while you sip on fancy hot chocolate and shop in the Ville-Haute district. End your day with some delicious sparkling Moscato at Dipso Wine Republic.
This country is small, so once you see Luxembourg City, rent a car and drive around! Get out into the countryside to explore castles and little villages.
